Description
Tract map of Cordova Gardens Addition to the City of El Paso. Cordova Gardens was added to El Paso in 1941. The land was part of the Martinez Estate and was nestled within Mexico's Cordova Island. The neighborhood would be ceded to Mexico as part of the Chamizal Treaty. The map here shows Cordova Gardens as it was platted and developed in 1941. Many of the street names—like "Bush Street" and "Fresno Street"—would later change names.
